Week one of The Winter Community Championship is just wrapping up. You have until 11:59PM Pacific on Sunday February 6th to get your score in. Week two kicks off a minute later!
Details of the Week 2 Challenge
The week 2 challenge starts on Monday February 7. The winner takes $50 via (via PayPal), and second place get $25. Participating also helps you qualify for the finals (with a $400 first place prize). AND! This week, there is a second side competition worth an addition $50 for the winner and $25 for second place (but doesn’t contribute to your overall tournament score after three weeks).
How do you participate?
- You absolutely must register at this Google Form if you haven’t already: https://forms.gle/4RYLEzMrfxqgTfNF9
- Complete the Rayman Legends in game weekly challenge by 6PM Pacific time on Sunday February 13th. Note, that the in game challenge continues past this deadline. But, we will take a snapshot of scores at this time.
- Acquire the game Rayman Legends on Google Stadia. Note, you absolutely must complete the challenge on Google Stadia.
- You need to play enough of the story (approximately ~1 hour or less) to obtain “Awesomeness Level 2”. This unlocks the weekly challenge.
- To find the in-game weekly challenge, jump into the challenges “portrait” from the main menu and then jump into the “weekly challenge” portrait from the subsequent room. See the following screenshots:
- You can continue to improve your score up until the deadline of 6PM Pacific time on Sunday February 13th. Registered users will be ranked and the highest score of users registered for the event on the in game weekly challenge leaderboard will win the weekly prize, and 2nd place will receive $25. However, simply participating and completing the challenge will help your chances of getting into the tournament finals.
- Optional: Stream your attempts to your YouTube channel (at a URL provided during registration) to allow the organizers and partner creators to later commentate on your video. If you do this, you’ll be entered into a $25 raffle each week you stream.
- BONUS Side Challenge: Play enough of the game to unlock the Xtreme Weekly Challenge (you need to reach awesomeness level 7). The top score from a registered user on the Xtreme Weekly Challenge at 6pm Pacific time on Sunday Frebruary 13th will earn a bonus $50! We’ll also give out a bonus $25 second place prize for this side challenge.
