Nvidia Geforce Now Introduces New Technology Featuring Custom RTX 3080

STORY: The cloud gaming stream service made some big announcements during their weekly updates. Such updates mention that Nvidia Geforce Now introduces new technology featuring custom RTX 3080.

Geforce Now (GFN) made serious headlines as they rolled out a new service tier. This tier, mentioned in their weekly updates, is called the RTX 3080 Founders tier .

As stated by Nvidia, this evolution in the service is powered by what is called ‘ the most powerful gaming supercomputer’ known as the SuperPOD:

The new memberships will stream from the world’s most powerful gaming supercomputer, the GeForce NOW SuperPOD, giving gamers their own high-performance cloud gaming rig. GeForce NOW RTX 3080 members will enjoy streaming at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second on PCs and Macs, and 4K HDR at 60 FPS on SHIELD TV, with ultra-low latency that rivals many local gaming experiences.

GFN Founder and Priority tier members in North America and Western Europe are being offered early access to this new membership first. These individuals can pre-order 6 months of the tier at $89 USD. All other GFN members can opt to be notified as additional access becomes available. It will cost these members $99 USD for 6 months.

The greater cloud gaming community seemed excited about this news. Financially conscious cloud consumers might find the new tier pricey. However, the more hardcore cloud gaming enthusiast may feel this is right up their alley. This is talked about during a special Cloud Gamer Chronicles Podcast (Members Video):

Nvidia says pre-orders will begin converting to active memberships in November first for North America. They will then continue to convert in December for Western Europe.
