Google’s cloud gaming platform, Stadia, is expanding on a popular initiative. That is free game trials. Firstly, Stadia in March started rolling out its plans for more systemic free trials. Well, now Stadia lands 3 more free trials. Get this. No subscription is needed to try them out!
These new trials come courtesy of 3 new publishers. They are Outright Games, Square Enix and Bandai Namco. This initiative, of course has been done in concert with Stadia. This is part of the platform’s ongoing ‘experiment’ of what the company calls Click to Play trials. The games added this time are: Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dragon Quest XI S and Little Nightmares.
Core details on these new trials are as follows:
- Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers (Outright Games) — Take the popular children’s show for a spin with monster-trucks galore. Play trial for 60 mins, purchase for $39.99 on the Stadia store.
- DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age (Square Enix) — The adventure RPG is available in full to play as a trial for 120 mins, purchase for $39.99 on the Stadia store.
- Little Nightmares Complete Edition (BANDAI NAMCO) — The adventure platformer invites players to embark on a dark whimsical tale that will confront their childhood fears. Play trial for 30 mins, purchase for $29.99 on the Stadia store.
As a reminder, those who try those free trials can continue playing exactly from where they left off if they choose to create an account and purchase any of these titles. There are 12 titles in all since the rollout. Furthermore, Google has expressed plans to launch Click to Play access to all of their publishing partners later this year!
